About Me

My photo
Aldershot, Hampshire, United Kingdom
I am a mum to 2 girls and a wife to a very understanding husband who never complains that our dinning room table has been taken over by my obssesion with card making and scrapbooking. Along side this myself and my husband run a very busy florist. So most of my evenings are spent making cards to sell in our shop. I have enjoyed looking at everyones blog spots and decided to share some of my designs.

"Thanks For Everything"

After 8 years of working in my shop a member of my staff is leaving on Christmas Eve. Last night I sat down and made her this card as a thank you. The Tilda image I won in a blog candy, I used some of my new copics to colour her in. The paper was from my leftovers box. The ribbon, buttons and flower are form poppicrafts. I stamped a sentiment straight onto the flower. I think it works quite well.

Match Box Advent Calender

I was in two minds as if to put this on my blog. I have seen lots of lovely creations and did not think mind stood up to any of the ones I have seen. But what the heck it took me 3 nights of my devotion so I decided to put it on. The kids loved it, I did not have acrylic paint or anything fancy to make it with. So had to use what ever was in my draws.
PM paper, copic pens to colour the draw fronts. Peel offs for the numbers and various bits to decorate. I am quite pleased with the finished piece. Hope you like it.

"Scrap booking those school memories"

I spend an awful lot of time scrap booking. I have recently just started a book for all the school pictures starting from nursery upwards. Here are a couple of pages from the album. As I am a consultant for creative memories all my products are from creative memories.
This shows my daughter Holly at nursery, yr and y1. I scrap book every picture I take and have shelf upon shelf of albums full of memories.

"With Love"

I got inspiration for this card off another blog site,Star dust gems and Ribbons.I loved the lay out so decided to give it a go myself. I have used a Sarah Kay stamp for the main image. The heart and champagne bottles are both Tilda stamps. The word stamp is form stampin up. The paper is from my stash.

Something for the men

I dont tend to make cards for men very often. So last night I had a go at these 2. I'm quite pleased with how they have turned out.

Faries and Angels

Well I have been away for months. Work has been so busy, I am working nearly full time now and just don't seem to have the time to make as many cards. Last night I went round to my friend Anita's and we had a card making night. I did not make any cards for any challenges but this one seems to suit the cute card thursday challenge.

I used one of my Tilda images, and the paper is just scraps from my scrap bag. Not bad for a card made from bits and bobs.

"Thank You with Flowers"

This is Holly's card age 7 for the challenge over at little funky fairy's and elves. It had to include flowers. Both the girls spent a week with their Grandma and Grandad last week. So whilst I did my ironing they got busy making a thank you card each.

Lauren age 10, both have done a lovely job.

Baby Girl

This was another of my purchases, the baby pram which goes through my revolution machine. I also brought the red indian head and just used the head part to make the babies head. I think it has turned out really well.

"Button It"

This is my card for the Paper take weekly challenge. I treated myself to a cuttlebug machine, I just love all the different embossing backgrounds you can do. This is Tilda on her bench, I have used water colour pencils to colour her in.

"Summer"

Last week I went to crafts you love with my friend Anita. I managed to spend £170 on lots of new goodies, we had a lovely day. Over at stamp something the challenge is to make something with a summer theme. This stamp to me has a real summer feel to it. I painted it with my H2O paints. I have made about 5 cards today as I have not made any since the kids have broken up for the school holidays. I really don't know where the time goes. Anyway I hope you like it.

"Happy Birthday Alicia"

Holly went to a birthday sleep over last night. We made this card together for the birthday girl Alicia. It is also for the cute card Thursday challenge a card for a child. Holly helped pick out all the paper, which stamp we were going to use. I paper pieced it and then Holly used the H20's to colour it in. I think she has done a very good job.
Holly had a great time at the party but is suffering today as they were still awake at 12.30 last night. She is laid on the sofa with her blankets watching T.V. Early night tonight!!

I used my blossom die cut revolution letters to cut out "thank you" and all the ribbon, flowers and buttons are from poppicrafts. Have kept this one nice and simple.

It started life as blocks of oasis which I glued together and shaped to create the shape of a plane. Then stem by stem you place the flowers to cover the oasis and then spray with spray paint. I used silver letters sprayed orange to create the wording down the side. Hope you all like it.

My First Stamp

Yesterday my Friend Anita and I went to the Glitter pot in Haywards Heath. Here I brought my first 2 stamps, this is one of them. I used my water colour pencils to colour it in. I am really pleased with the finished result. We had a great day out, I'm sure the women in the shop thought we were mad as we returned to the shop 3 times to buy different things. I invested in some H2o's so will have a go with those soon.
